Mike Burkhart, Dodge City, KS, prepares for a run during a NHRA event in July 2003 at Denver. Burkhart was ninth in the nation and 10th in the region in the super gas drag race division. Burkhart's car 555-cubic inch engine puts out about 900 horsepower and runs around 153 miles per hour.
